Long day of driving? A lot of these hotels will give you terrific discounts if you say you are visiting Saint Michael's!!
Three Tomatoes Trattoria Right on Church Street, it has light, but hearty Italian food which is absolutely delicious. It is a cozy and comfortable place to have a comfortable dinner with friends and family.
Bueno y Sano On College Street, right off Church Street, lies what I think is a hidden treasure. Bueno y Sano makes all different types of healthy burittos, tacos, quesdillas (my favorite is the Spinach and Chicken :) for a great price- it is also right by the Roxy Cinemas so what a great place to grab a great bite to eat and then catch a movie!!
The Skinny Pancake Right on the gorgeous Lake Champlain waterfront is this extremely popular restaurant, which has some of the best crepes ever!! Whether you're in a savory or sweet mood, the Skinny Pancake has so many terrific options and you can even see your crepe being made :) The atmosphere is comforting and relaxed, making this a must visit when coming to Vermont.
Trader Duke's Now, this is in South Burlington, but whenever my parents or my roomie, Bri's, parents come up, we go to Trader Duke's for some delicious food. Connected to the Doubletree Hotel, Trader Duke's is opens early and closes late- always serving delicious breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Plus, it has absolutely amazing service, which always makes every experience better :)
North Garden Whenever my friends and I have Chinese nights, we always order from North Garden. They have delicious options and also take the Knight Card (a great perk for SMC Students :)
Tiny Thai This amazing Thai restaurant in Winooski is extremely popular among SMC students- the food is delicious, reasonably priced, and terrific portions. Recommendations include Pad Kee Maow or Pad Thai :)
New Moon New Moon is definitely a must stop when visiting Church Street. Right on Cherry Street, next to the Rite Aid, is this cute and calm cafe, where you can sit or stop by and have a delicious cup of coffee and a sandwich :)
Papa Franks: Yum is all I have to say about this quaint Italian restaurant in the Winooski Circle. It has such reasonably priced food with family sized portions and it's like your a part of the family there :)
Lake Champlain Chocolates: If you ever want a special treat, this is certainly the place to indulge (besides Ben and Jerry's, of course :) Lake Champlain Chocolates is right on Church Street and offers a wide variety of chocolate, ice cream, and hot chocolate. My personal favorite is their peanut butter fudge with a Aztec Hot Chocolate- a definite "must visit" when going into Burlington.
