It was Cornmazin!! The SMC Girl Goes to a Corn Maze...

Happy Saturday everyone!!

I hope you're all having a wonderful weekend so far!! This week was definitely a stressful one, with preparations for midterms and big papers due or coming up this week. It has, however, been such a gorgeous fall week, the perfect way to welcome in the month of October.

Today, I was so excited to go on an adventure!! As all of my wonderful readers know, I am on team for VITA, SMC's peer ministry group on campus and we typically have various socials throughout the year. To start the year of with a bang, VITA team decided to go to Sam Mazza's harvest market for their annual corn maze and Harvest carnival!!

We set off at about 2:30 and got there around 3:15... yeah, all of the vehicles taking us there went on a bit of an adventure (aka we got LOST hahaha!!) Hey, what great trip doesn't have a couple of detours along the way?

Once we arrived, we all broke up into teams and started looking for the various checkpoints we were expected to reach throughout the maze.

Annnnnd of course... I vlogged it. I know, I know, wouldn't be my blog without a vlog stating how I may possibly perhaps you know, die in the woods or I guess in a corn maze. No biggie... right?????

Thankfully, we made it out of the corn maze safely and were greeted with delicious apple cider donuts by our wonderful VITA mentor (and my SMC mom) Anna!! Afterwards, Megan, Maura, Kelly, and I headed into the store to buy some delicious apple cider to bring back to school. Once we had finished purchasing our things, we went to Island Homemade Ice Cream stand, where I had a DELICIOUS salted caramel cone and had the chance to relax after our great adventure.

The carnival!!
The corn maze- thank you my amazing friend, Colleen, for the pic!!

Our checkpoint cards/ map of the maze!!

Free samples of homemade pumpkin pie in the store- YUM!!

The delicious Island ice cream stand!!

Oh MM... SMC van problems!!

Me eating my salted caramel ice cream cone!!

We headed back to campus around 5pm and I couldn't believe how quickly time went. It was honestly the perfect way to get away for a bit from homework and papers, getting the chance to have some great fun with terrific friends :)

To perfectly put it- it was a cornmazing day (get it? Cheesy, I know, but I had to :)

If you have any questions or want to get in contact with me, please don't hesitate to get in touch with me via an anonymous question on ask.fm, a tweet on Twitter, or an email- I'm always happy to hear from my wonderful readers!!

Until next time, I send you my very best wishes,
Alex :)

Welcome to your Senior Year, SMC Girl...

Happy TUESDAY everyone!!

I hope you're all having a wonderful day!! It's been three weeks since I arrived back at One Winooski Park and let me tell you, it has been a jam packed three weeks. From welcoming in the Class of 2017, VITA team training and retreat, and getting re-adjusted to being back in class and running activities- it has really been a lot.

Also, when did I become a senior????

Honestly it feels like yesterday, I began blogging as a first year in the fall of 2010, and here we are three years later about getting ready for my senior year. Time really does go so fast.

Day 1: Reunited and It Feels So Good, Hugs, and OMG WE LOVE THE QUAD COMMONS!!!!!

The fam and I left NY at about 4am and got to campus around 11. When I arrived, I was so lucky to run into my SMC mom, Anna Lester, who from the very beginning of my time at SMC has been one of my biggest supports. We had about a two hours to move stuff into my townhouse (one of which I just spent sitting in my best friend, Kate's, kitchen because I had just missed her so much) before I had to go to my first VITA meeting of the day. It was so nice being reunited with everyone, but the most exciting part of the day was when I got to vlog this:

First, is your step by step tour of the new Quad Commons residence hall, staring the VITA Team:

Making goody bags for first years in Alliot!!
Team meeting in the new Quad Commons lounge!!

Honestly, I am so amazed at how wonderfully SMC is expanding for the future and that I get to experience this during my final year at SMC. We ended up having VITA team meeting in one of the new lounges (with panoramic views of campus- gorgeous!!) and then heading back to Alliot to make VITA bags, filled with goodies, for the incoming Class of 2017.

Day 2: WELCOME CLASS OF 2017!!!!

Anna, Tim, Colleen, Emily and I at the VITA table in Ross!!
I woke up at 7am to shower, get ready, say goodbye to the parents, who were taking the long trip back home, and with a call time of 8:30 to be ready for team breakfast and orientation. Of course, being in a new living space, I wasn't use to the ins and outs of the house (aka the shower pressure stinking at first and how overheated I was= BAD HAIR DAY!!) Anyway, saying my emotional goodbyes and having my mom make sure she could get 20 pictures of my best friend, Emily and I in our team tees... I was slightly running behind schedule. Oh well, it was okay because it was MOVE IN AND ORIENTATION FOR CLASS OF 2017!! As all of my wonderful readers know, I literally LOVE making new friends and helping people get settled and supported on campus, so it was like Christmas!! I met so many people in the dorms and VITA table in Ross, which made my day!! Best of all... MARCI MOVED IN!! Marci, being a part of the Lit Choir, was able to move in early for Orientation mass and I was so happy to be reunited with her and see her family. Later that night, my friends, Emily, Taylor, Anthony, Brian, Mary Kate, Kelly, Maura, Colleen, and I went to support our O-Leader friends during the first Orientation event of the weekend, the Fun for All. While I can't give too much about it and ruin the surprise, it did end up with a lot of great costumes and so much SMC spirit that I was so glad I could get a chance to go.
VITA team 2013!! Tim, Maura, Colleen, Emily, Kate, Kelly, Lauren, me, and Katie!!

Day 3: Rock Point and Orientation Mass

Uhh... guys? What are you doing? Hahaha!!
Friday started off as a bit more of a relaxed day, since our team call time was 10am, and I definitely took advantage of sleeping in a bit. I ended up reading at mass and not only got to meet so many first year families, but was reunited with two of my favorite SMC professors, Professor Bolduc (who I took Intro to Soc with) and Mrs. Professor Begley (who I take Greek with). We had a hour break before we headed off to the Rock Point School with MOVE Core Team. Rock Point is usually my favorite activity of VITA team orientation because I not only love getting the chance to work with MOVE, but to put my faith of helping people into action. Both teams ended up cleaning and preparing the school for the incoming students, with myself, Emily, and Colleen being on dorm cleaning duty. Later on, we went down to Lake Champlain to have some dinner after a long afternoon of helping out the Rock Point staff.
MOVE and VITA core teams!!

Day 4: Tears, Reflection, Moe's and I hope I Don't Die on this Hike
Team ready for the hike!!
Saturday, our final day of team orientation, was our team retreat. Anna decided that a great way to bond was to take a half a mile hike to Niquette Bay and have our team retreat there. Of course, I was a bit... apprehensive? Nervous? Thought I may die? Well, whatever one you pick, I was that. Even though I felt that way, of course, I vlogged it all.

Senior members and SMC mom, Anna!!
The theme of the day was basically how we sometimes have so much going on around us, but sometimes, we need to let things settle so we can see things clearly. Honestly, it helped me to reflect on where I want to be this year and how I need to keep a settled and clear mind. Overall, team retreat was the best yet. One of the most poignant part of the retreat were our affirmations. Every year, I sob my eyes out because it's just a time to come together, let each member of team know what we love about them, and say an intention for them. After a great retreat, we headed to Mo's for dinner to conclude our last day of team orientation. When I got back later that night, I was reunited with MY BEST FRIENDS MEGAN AND MARY!! I was so unbelievably happy to see and hug the rest of my friends who had moved in that Saturday as well!!

I couldn't have been happier.

Honestly, SMC brings a lot of light into people's lives, even when they don't know they need it. Being back has made me see that even more and makes me just so lucky to be apart of this supportive and loving SMC family. Hopefully my senior year continues to bring this every day.

If you have any questions or just want to get in touch, please never hesitate to send me a tweet on Twitter, ask.fm anonymous question, or shoot me an email- I'm always happy to help!!

Until next time, I send you my very best wishes,
Alex :)

It Happens...

Happy Thursday everyone!!

First of all, I just want to start off by saying how much I love talking to the Class of 2017 on Facebook. Being able to help you guys out, give advice, or just a friendly word has been an amazing experience for me, not only as a blogger, but as an upperclassmen. I cannot wait to meet you all and most of all, can't wait for you to be at SMC!!

Today, I want to talk about what a lot of you may be experiencing, especially this week, since next Thursday, you'll all be at One Winooski Park starting your college experience. Today, it's all about the worries of getting adjusted to college and the worry of homesickness.

My wonderful readers know that while I'm really bubbly, friendly, and love SMC, I can also be a nervous wreck and shy sometimes when it comes to new things, even with a place that I love.

I'm going to take you back to August 2010, when I was an incoming first year. I was utterly excited. Things like buying new bedding, picking new clothes, and even getting my bright pink laundry bin brought a smile to my face. It wasn't really because I was getting those things (even though I do love shopping :) that made me the most excited though- it was the fact that I knew I was going to the place that I was meant to be. The place I was going to spend my next four years learning new subjects, meeting great new people, being a part of great new clubs, exploring new places, going to Alliot in my pajamas, but most of all- finding myself, as a student, a friend, and a leader.

I was definitely counting down the days until SMC!!

It was weird though- I think for every bit of excitement I felt, I still felt nervous. From things such as, "Will I adjust okay to my classes? Do Professors teach a lot differently from high school teachers? Will I be able to handle my course load and have enough study time?" to things such as, "I'm going to miss my friends so much, this has been such a great summer, am I ready for it to end? I'm going to miss my home- from my mom's home cooking to being able to snuggle with my pets after a long day or being able to hug my parents and have them tell me it's going to be okay."

I don't know if I'm ready to say goodbye to what I know...

I was totally a bunch of mixed emotions that I really didn't know how to deal with. To tell you the honest truth, I set off for Vermont at 1am on August 26th crying- I couldn't even tell if they were tears of excitement or tears of sadness. I think they were a mix of both.

When I arrived at SMC after 7 hours of driving, I was greeted with a bunch of excited cheers, whistles, and "Honk if you love SMC!!!!!" signs. I was helped by the sweetest O-Leaders with everything from bringing up all of my things to helping me on where to go. Had my RA, floormates, and upperclassmen knocking at my door to welcome me to SMC. Played icebreakers with my O-Group, who were all really terrific and went to all the orientation events with an open mind.

I was really enjoying myself!!

My first day of classes was amazing- a couple of my floormates were in Gen Psych with me and we sat together, which made me feel so much better. In my Spanish class, we played "Simon Says" en espanol, and in my Peace and Justice FYS, my professor knew my name by the end of the class, discussed world events, and I met fourteen other freshmen going through the same things as me. It was awesome!!

Does that mean I didn't get homesick? Does that mean I still wasn't intimidated by college work?

Absolutely not!!

What's so important for first year's to know is that it is okay to feel this way. You're in a new place and meeting new people. You are definitely not alone in feeling this way.

I don't care what anyone tells you, if you need to call home- do it. If you need to run around campus to get out nervous energy- do it. If you need to just vent to someone about what you're going through, don't hesitate.

The thing is that you can't let it get the best of you and don't let it hold you back. College is a whole new world and you are a part of it. So, get involved with things on campus, go to orientation events, keep your door open and talk to floormates about getting together for dinner or a movie night, don't hesitate to participate in discussions or study groups, and open yourself up to new possibilities. I can guarantee it will work and you will realize just how amazing SMC really is :)

Also, remember that you will be surrounded with people who are here to help you get adjusted. From upperclassmen, professors, counselors, directors of activities you want to be involved in and RA's to even the lovely motherly Knight Stand ladies who help you out with your Knight Card (another Alex moment I'll let you all in on another day :) we are here to help, so don't hesitate to come to us.

I wish you all sooooooo much luck x100. I know you will all be an amazing new addition to the SMC family!! I'll actually be around at orientation, stopping by dorms to bring cookies and water to everyone or in Ross at the VITA table, so if you see me, please don't hesitate to stop by and say hello, get advice about anything, or a hug from me :)

Remember, if you have any questions, don't hesitate to tweet, email, or ask me an anonymous question on ask.fm- I'm always happy to help.

Until next time (or I guess in 7 days!!), I send you my very best wishes,
Alex :)

Orientation: The Perfect Beginning to Your SMCVT years...

Happy Monday everyone!!

I hope everyone is enjoying their day. I can't believe we're already entering into the home stretch of August, with move in and orientation for the class of 2017 coming up in just 17 DAYS!!!! So exciting!! I'm really excited to have the chance to be working at move in for a 3rd year and cannot wait to meet so many of you that Thursday.

Today, I wanted to talk to my wonderful readers about orientation. While you probably have a million other things to be thinking about right now (will I pack everything I'll need? Are my classes going to go well? Will I like my roommate? Will I be accepted? Will I even know how to get back to my dorm once I leave it!?!?!) I think this is also the perfect time to be considering orientation and how orientation can really help you adjust and transition, while of course making sure you have so much fun at the same time.

Now, everyone is unique. We all have different ways of dealing with change. Some of us are so super excited to move from home and start fresh in college, without looking back. Others are really shy and worried about moving away from their comfort zone and into something they're not secure in. Sometimes, you can even have a mix of both. No matter how you feel, I can guarantee it is okay to feel this way and that you're not alone.

Me personally? If you've read my blog before, you'll know I'm pretty much the biggest worry wart in the world. I tend to be super shy and quiet when I'm in new situations and really only feel myself when I feel like I have control of a situation. It didn't mean I wasn't excited of course- I really was!! The exciting feeling you get when you buy all your new college supplies, talk to future friends on official Facebook pages or Twitter, and think about all of the great, fun things you'll learn and get up to in college is priceless. When I moved in, I think I repeated to myself, "I'm calm. Everything is going to go great. I can do this," thinking that if I thought it, I would actually become it. Ehh, it did slightly, but I was still feeling off.

This is where orientation comes in :)

Orientation is probably the one of the very best things can attend and I could not recommend it more. As many of you have or will be in the near future receiving letters from your Orientation leaders (better known as O-Leaders on campus :) you'll have two upperclassmen at your disposal, who will be helping you the whole weekend with the transition and getting used to campus. Take advantage of these great people, because they will be a wonderful source of support for not only the weekend, but the year as well. (Also just a side note- like I mentioned before I'll also be on campus so if you randomly need a support hug, whether we've met or not, come find me and I'd be happy to give you one. I bet your O-Leaders would too :)

Probably one of the biggest things we all worry about is whether we will meet friends, or at least it was for me. It's the best feeling when you meet someone who wants to join the rugby team as much as you do, find someone to play Call of Duty with, scream about the Bruins game, who watches Doctor Who or Sherlock religiously, laughs at all the same GIFs and Youtube videos you do, loves nail polish or reading the same books, or listens to the most random music that you just happen to call your favorite. It's like you want to shout, "HA I FOUND A FRIEND YES SCORE BOOM !!!!"

Now, while this feeling is the absolutely terrific, you actually have to go out and meet these people to get it, which is why Orientation is so great!! While you may think icebreakers are silly and dancing is just not your thing, I'm not forcing you to go. Just to try. Nothing ever succeeds in my opinion unless you try. These events are all put on with you in mind, trying to make this as easy as possible for you. So why not experience them? Yes, I understand the feeling of awkwardness, nervousness, being super pumped, or thinking it's stupid to even bother, but try the best you can to put that aside and go in with an open mind. You can experience something that you never thought you would and it could actually be fun!! My wonderful readers, nothing ever comes from not getting yourself out there, going a bit out of your comfort zone, and keeping what makes you the amazing person you are a secret from others. Orientation is just a start, but I can guarantee it's a start that you'll want to begin with :)

If you guys would like me to do a more in depth blog post in the next few days about the different events and my experiences with them, just let me know. Any blogposts that you'd like to see in the next couple of weeks to help with the transition, please feel free to find me on the FB Class of 2017 pageemail, tweet, or anonymously ask me on ask.fm and I'd absolutely love to help out!!

Until next time, I wish you all my very best wishes,
Alex :)

PS I just wanted to send a special thank you to my wonderful readers. Recently, I reached the 30,000 views mark on my blog and I could not have done it without the support of all of you. Whether one person or one thousand people read this, I write this for each and every one of my readers and you mean the world to me. Thank you all so much, from the bottom of my heart :)

It's Time: The Big Decision, Class of 2017...

Happy Tuesday everyone!!

I hope everyone is having a wonderful start to the week!! I cannot believe that this will be my last Productive Tuesday as a Junior here at SMC!! I'm not being very productive at the moment, looking at Royal Wedding photos (yes, I'm a Will and Kate fangirl hahaha!!) instead of doing the edits on one of my final papers. I am though going to extremely miss my usual routine- my time in the library seeing my BFFs, Sarah and Josh, and saying a big hello to Mr. Payne, SMC's awesome library director, in the morning, going to the gym to work out my stress, my weekly tour, and of course my weekly blog hangout with my wonderful readers!! It's now one week until I have my last final and say goodbye to SMC for the summer and it's really surreal.

Why, you may ask?

Well, I guess you can say I still sometimes feel like I'm a Senior in high school. That I'm back in White Plains, NY in my GCA uniform and complaining to all of my GCA girls on how it's the end of April and I'm still trying to figure out where to call my second home.
I couldn't get a good picture of me in my uniform, but here's one with me and my best friend, Jen, on the day I sent in my deposit to SMC!!

The college process is always tough, no matter what stage you're in. It's time consuming and it's tiring and a whole lot of writing. Those moments when you find out you've received some of those big beautiful acceptance letters are some of the best in the world, but then it comes to deciding and narrowing down your choices and that's just a whole lot of stress.

Going on all the tours. Doing all the Open Houses. Eating the food. Talking to students and professors, trying to retain every single thing about the school and forming pros and cons list with everything you can possibly remember about it? Yep, you're not alone.

It was a really difficult time for me. Did I want to go to college? Absolutely!! Did I want to find a second home? Of course!! The thing was though, after narrowing it down, doing all of the things I was supposed to, I was still... undecided. Torn, even. I just wanted to decide, knowing that whatever school I would pick would be the right fit and that I would spend the best four years of my life there- growing, being accepted and supported, and just feel like I was a part of something amazing that would help me to be amazing in the future.

It was coming down to the final days before May 1st and I still had no clue. I was actually talking to my new friend, Kassidy, about this last weekend during the Accepted Students Open House. I'm the first person not to sugar coat picking a college since I myself had a tough time deciding. I remember using up way too many tissues crying, screaming, curling up with my Twilight book, and eating maybe one or two or you know what, YOLO five pints of Ben and Jerry's (sign that I was meant to be in VT? What can I say, that Strawberry Cheesecake always gets me ;) because I was so unbelievably stressed. This on top of getting through my senior year academics and activities just made me into a big ol' mess.

Mama Byrne pic with my acceptance letter :)
Finally, on April 26th, I decided on SMC/ Brought my sweatshirt, sent in the deposit, and was officially a member of the Class of 2014.

Looking back on it three years later, I am so grateful I went through this. Did it stink? HA big time, but it was really just so worth it. If I hadn't had done all that research, visited all my top schools, and made sure to talk to my family about logistics (financial aid, opportunities each school could provide me with, etc.) I may be at a totally different school today.

My Class of 2017 readers, whether you have decided on joining the SMC family or another school, I want to congratulate you. You have come this far and you should be so unbelievably proud of yourselves. It's taken a lot of hard work and dedication, but you've gotten this far and you will be sure to get even farther. While I wish I could be there to give you each one of you a hug and tell you that you're not alone in your excitement, stress, nervousness, or whatever you're feeling right now, I can tell you that it will be okay. That whatever you decide is the best decision for you and no one else. As long as you've gone through each of your top schools and know that you get that "feeling" at a certain school, then that is what matters. Choose the school that will help bring out every single thing that makes you amazing and you will forever be grateful for it.

Please know that I support and adore each and every one of you. My wonderful readers, I truly would not be me if I didn't have you to read about my silliness, my mistakes, my favorite moments, and overall my time at SMC. I share this with you and because of that, always know if there is anyway that I can help, whether it be a tweet on Twitter, an email. or a question on ask.fm, I am always willing to help you in any way I can.

Best of luck, Class of 2017 readers. Wherever you choose, I hope you love it as much as I love SMC.

Until next time, I send you my very best wishes,
Alex :)

PS Congratulations to those who have made your decision to become a part of the SMC family!! Remember if you haven't to become a member of the Class of 2017 Facebook Page!!

#AcceptedtoSMCVT: Class of 2017 Open House...

Happy Tuesday everyone!!

I'm actually writing this to you in the past on Monday night (OMG what!?! First blogger, now time traveler??? Hahahahaha just kidding :) after spending some much needed best friend time with my best friend, Kate. I've been missing Kate a lot lately, as we both are so busy with activities and academics (she was actually just nominated to go to the Kennedy American Theatre Festival for stage managing "Dead Man Walking"- YOU GO SL!!) so it was really nice to just hang out for a bit.

Anyway, I had the BEST WEEKEND EVER!! Well, actually, I had the BEST SATURDAY EVER!! Why, you may ask?

CAUSE I GOT TO MEET SO MANY OF MY CLASS OF 2017 READERS AT THE OPEN HOUSE AKA #ACCEPTED2SMCVT

Wow, hahahaha, I'm way too excited, but I can't help it!! Spring Open Houses are probably some of my favorite events of the year, mainly because I get to meet so many students who may soon be a part of my SMC family!! I started my day at around 7:30am, beginning with my usual tradition of applying my purple and gold eye shadow to show my school spirit. I headed over later with my BFF and paparazzi of the day, Miss Lauren Mazzoleni to Ross, where I decided to live tweet my day. I took pictures of all my friends and all the places I went throughout my day.

So, of course, you guys get to see it too!!
Step 1: Purple and Gold eyeshadow

Freshman year roommates and best friends- Bri and I!!

Hiiii Lisa!!

My best friend, Emily, has been like a little sister to me even before coming to SMC, so I took a picture of her giving her first tour!!

My amazing friend, Hillary, giving her first tour!!

My best friend, Marci and I!! Marci has been through everything and back with me and I couldn't ask for a better friend :)

Mike, me, and Lauren Mazz waiting to give a tour!!
My amazing friend, Mike Brown aka Miguel Cafe :)

Oh look, it's Kate!!

Lauren Loy and I repping MOVE and VITA at the Open House

The MOVE/ VITA team!! Heidi, Ashley, Kristen, and Lauren Loy!!

Rynne with our new friend, Jessica!!

My new friend, Kassidy!! We discovered that we are literally the same person and I was so excited to find out she reads my blog!! Adore her!!

So, even if she won''t admit it, I'm the reason Lauren Mazzoleni came to SMC... well at least one of the top 10 hahaha!! She is now one of my best friends in the world :)

The best part of the day- NAP TIME!!

Even though it was a bit exhausting, it was all so worth it because I got to meet so many of you!!(Special shout outs to Kassidy, Sophie, Jessica, and Anna!!) What I love about being a student ambassador is that I get the chance to talk to you all and have a part in helping in choosing a second home.

These next week is unfortunately now crunch time for my Class of 2017 readers. Whether you decide on SMC or not, what I always recommend is getting that "feeling" (I sometimes feel like I should trademark that saying since I say it in so many blogs hahaha!!) That feeling of knowing that you will not only receive so many opportunities and a great education, but grow as a student, friend, and leader and most imporantly, feel as though you are accepted, respected, and support. That feeling that you know that this is where you belong :)

I wish you all so much luck and please never hesitate to get in touch with me via Ask.fm, Twitter, or email- I'm always happy to help in any way I can to help make things a bit easier and send hugs via social media!!

Until next time, I send you my very best wishes,
Alex :)

PS If you haven't already, please join the SMC Class of 2017 Facebook page to meet future friends and classmates!!

Meet #Mamabyrne! A Parent and Student Perspective for Class of 2017!

Happy Tuesday everyone!!

I hope everyone is having a wonderful week!! All of us at SMC are just getting readjusted after spring break and getting back to all of our class and activities. Spring break was absolutely phenomenal!! I didn't go anyplace special except my bed, my living room, and my kitchen at home, but it was just amazing to have some time to relax, refocus, and of course spend time with my wonderful family :)

So, the written portion of today's blog is going to be really short, since I'm actually going to rely on my latest vlog a lot in today's post!!

Over the past three years (what!?!) of blogging, I've loved having both prospective students and parents email me and send me questions about college life here at SMC. The thing is though, is that while I try my best to put myself into the shoes of my parent readers while answering questions they may have, I realize that I cannot fully grasp the whole perspective because I haven't been through the process as a parent.

However... someone in today's vlog has ;)

Today, my wonderful readers, you'll get to meet my mom, Yvette, also known for any of you who follow me on twitter as #mamabyrne!! I've been wanting to do an interview with my parents for a while, because
 1) I love them and I think they're pretty cool
and
2) They've been through it all with me!! The college visits, tours, common apps, receiving letters, open houses...

Yep. You name it, they've been through it.

So, in this first of two vlogs (hopefully my wonderful dad will be in the next one when I'm home!!), you'll be able to receive both a parent and a student perspective of some typical questions that we asked as a prospective student and parent of each college we went to, some tips, and of course, what we personally love about SMC!!

Enjoy :)

I hope this was helpful for everyone!! It was a blast for my mom and I to film and I cannot wait to do hopefully more vlogs in the future with people who have helped me throughout my college process and in college now!!

For my wonderful readers, if you haven't heard already, Formspring will be ending soon. Don't worry though, because I will definitely be doing a new FAQ tab on the blog with some of the most asked questions that you can refer to and of course, still never hesitate to ask me questions via email or a tweet on Twitter!!

Until next time, I send you all my very best wishes,
Alex :)

PS of course no good video does not have bloopers!!
