for classes, do you recommend getting like an audio recorder for lectures to help fill in notes later?

To tell you the truth, I've never seen anyone bring in an audio recorder. Usually, professors are really good about posting their powerpoint presentations or a summary of their notes on ecollege, so if I missed something in class, I always just print those out afterwards :)
